Copying and pasting actions

You can copy an action by hovering over the action you want to copy in the actions window and using [Right click > Copy] on the action. You can paste this action wherever you like with [Right click > Paste], as long as it is within the same model. Alternatively, you can use [Control + C] and [Control + V] instead of right clicking (see shortcuts).

For formulas, there is an extra feature that you need to know before you start copying. When you copy a formula, you have two ways to paste the calculations into the model:

  1. The first, Paste or [Control + V] is quite straightforward. This pastes the copied calculation with exactly the same contents as the original calculation.
  2. The second, Paste as new or [Control + Shift + V], allows you to paste the formula as a new formula. The actual formula will stay intact, but the Publisher will ask you for a new name.
